The nature of the job may require occasional travelling to client sites. At GVG, customer experience is at the forefront of everything we do. To help us build functional systems that improve customer experience we are now looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Network Administrator to join our highly professional expert team. The candidate would be responsible for maintaining a reliable, secure and efficient data communications network and would be able to deploy, configure, maintain and monitor all active network equipment in order to ensure smooth network operations. DAILY TASKS Perform server administration tasks, including user/group administration, security permissions, group policies, research event log warnings and errors, and resource monitoring, ensuring system architecture components work together seamlessly Monitor IT infrastructures health using preexisting management tools and respond to hardware issues as they arise; help build, test, and maintain new servers as needed Maintain internal infrastructure requirements including servers, routers, switches, firewalls, corporate VPN, security updates; support internet, intranet, LANs, WANs, and network segments Provide Level 2 technical support to assist in troubleshooting and identifying root cause of issues Investigate and resolve technical issues Perform routine/scheduled audits of the systems Perform regular backups of the systems Implementing and managing security or integrity and backup procedures in collaboration with other stakeholders. Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance Collaborate with cross-functional teammates to understand customer requirements, come up with solutions, and ship iterations on a daily basis. Shape and improve engineering culture, standards, tooling, and processes. Help build a successful business that does well by doing good OTHER TASKS Maintain essential IT operations, including operating systems, security tools, applications, servers, , software, and hardware Handle business-critical IT tasks and systems that provide commercial advantage in a global marketplace Enable faster and smarter business processes and implement analytics for meaningful insights Nurture dependable IT infrastructure and networking that’s always up and running Collaborate with internal teams to achieve firm-wide goals Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions Participate in the analysis, diagnosis, evaluation of the functionalities of systems/solutions/ applications and related technical problems and issues. Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related activities as it may be required.
